See what's inside below....
(Month 1: February 18th-March 16th)
Starting Your Day with Sacred Self Care
Start the day by taking care of yourself with simple morning rituals like meditation, movement & journaling, to exponentially increase your energy & focus, not only in the morning, but also throughout the day.
This week you'll practice living the question.
“One way we coax the life of the new self is by living the questions that inhabit our dark night, by dwelling creatively with the unresolved inside us. There is an art to living your questions. You peel them. You listen to them. You let them spawn new questions. You hold the unknowing inside." Sue Monk Kidd
The Magic Word is Sleep
Learn how to fall asleep easily and sleep soundly throughout the night. Because everything falls apart when we don't get the sleep we need!
This week you'll practice being in and loving your body.
Staying Focused During the Day
Release stress and refocus with an afternoon ten minute meditation. And on days when you're super busy, take just 10 seconds to let go of afternoon burnout with an "afternoon pause & reset."
This week you'll practice letting go...
What Lights Up & Soothes Your Heart & Soul?
Discover what lights up and soothes your heart, & make it a daily habit, so that you stay connected to your true self in the midst of the busy workday, as well as the countless other distractions that pull you away from your center. Commit to staying true to you.
And this week you'll practice stepping into and living from your heart.
(And for those of you who took the 30 Day Self Care Adventure, 6 week Self Care Series, or Self Care TLC with me, Self Care Starts With You is similar, but not the same! There's lots of new content and material based on the feedback you gave me!. It's a new & improved iteration!:)
If you choose to take advantage of this bonus, you'll receive a beautiful handmade journal with your first Module, with the Sacred Self Care Immersion symbol, the feather! Inspiring you to create your own wings! As you make your way through Sacred Self Care Immersion you'll do your journal exercises in this lovely journal.
And many of your journal prompts will come from Wild Mind, Living the Writer's Life, the first book in your Sacred Self Care Bookclub!
The Sacred Self Care Bookclub (or reading list), is totally optional, and you get everything you need from this course without it, but for those of you who LOVE reading, this is a special opportunity to read some phenomenal books to help inspire you in your sacred self care journey.
Natalie Goldberg has been meditating most of her life, and there are many lessons on mindfulness in this gem of a book as well.
In Wild Mind "there is a larger vision of the writer's task: balancing daily responsibilites with a commitment to writing; knowing when to take risks as a writer and as a human being; coming to terms with success and failure and loss; and learning self acceptance - both in life and in art."
(Month 2: March 18th-April 13th)
In your second Module you'll iterate your self care practices from Module 1, while clarifying why self care is a superpower & continuing your journey toward being a self care superhero, shinging your light out into the world, and standing in your power (the power that comes from your heart).
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the radiance and the light that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” Marianne Williamson
A is for Attention:
Ultimately what we pay attention to defines our life. What do you pay attention to? How does it affect you and others? Why do you pay attention in that way? Where does your focus lens come from? And what would happen if you adjusted that lens anywhere from a few degrees to a 180 degree turn?
B is for Back to Basics:

C is for Clarity & Commitment

If you want to supplement your Sacred Self Care Immersion with phenomenal reading, you'll really begin to dive in with Jon Kabat-Zinn's Wherever You Go, There You Are.
Jon Kabat-Zinn, PhD, is internationally known for his work as a scientist, writer, and meditation teacher engaged in bringing mindfulness into the mainstream of medicine and society. He is professor of medicine emeritus at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and author of numerous books.
In Wherever You Go, There You Are he maps out a simple path for cultivating mindfulness in one's own life. This book speaks both to those coming to meditation for the first time and to longtime practitioners, anyone who cares deeply about reclaiming the richness of his or her moments.
(Month 3: May 13th - June 8th)
In your thrid Module you'll commit to daily movement to increase energy, release stress, focus your mind and love your beautiful body!
Pilates & Yoga: Strength, Core, Balance & Stretch it out!
My luscious friend and phenomenal pilates teacher Regan Sur-Trevino will join me for this Module.
"Pilates is core based whole body fitness conditioning. At SurViva, we step it up to the next level. (This is) fitness geared toward a whole lifestyle approach for everyday, everyone..." ~Regan Sur-Trevino
Among her many badass clients, Regan teaches the rowing team at Columbia University in NYC.
Regan & I met over ten years ago at the University of Washington, where she taught pilates and I taught yoga.
We'll guide you through pilates and yoga practices that you can incorporate daily, from short 10 minute videos, to 30 minute lunch break sessions to 60 minute full body strength, stretch & release classes.
Sweat, sigh, build strength, fire up your core, find balance, learn how to laugh when you fall, and release accumulated tension and stress.
What's on Your Plate?
Taught by Regan's wife, Amy Sur-Trevino, a professional chef!
"Growing up in South Padre, Texas, Amy Sur-Trevino was immersed with the sounds, scents and flavors of the ocean. Her Spanish heritage where the kitchen was the focal point of all social interactions, instilled in her a deep appreciation and hunger for delicious food with equally heartwarming fun. Waking up early to catch the best the ocean had to offer fueled her culinary passion for the freshest, highest quality food.. As a young child she started working alongside her grandmother, learning the craft and depth of spice. And at 16 she was paid for her first catering position.
Chef Amy works directly with certified organic farms, harvesters, foragers, oleologists, and fishermen to bring the restaurant experience straight to you."
Now that you’re moving your body, pay attention to your eating habits. Do you eat? Or do you skip breakfast or other meals? What we put in our bodies is as important as moving our bodies.
Learn how to prep & plan meals that support and nourish you.
(Month 4: June 10th - July 6th)
In your fourth Module you'll practice letting go...
Begin your day by releasing anxieties, fears, regrets, & intense dreams in your journal so that you have more energy, focus and presence for the rest of your day. This is when you begin the really juicy journaling that the first 3 Modules (especially 1 & 2) prepare you for.
Let Go: Relax, Release, & Restore
Practice 10-30 minute yin & restorative yoga videos with me to release accumulated stress, tension, and emotional holding in your body, with explanations about what we hold on to, where we hold on to it, and why. This is a deeper practice that Module 3, Let's Get Physical, primes you for.
In this book Pema Chödrön shows us how to break free of destructive patterns in our lives and experience a new sense of freedom and happiness. Drawing on the Buddhist concept of shenpa, she helps us to see how certain habits of mind tend to “hook” us and get us stuck in states of anger, blame, self-hatred, and addiction. The good news is that once we start to see these patterns, we can begin to change our lives for the better.
We must learn how to stay present and open our hearts. “This path entails uncovering three basic human qualities,” explains Pema. “These qualities have always been with us but perhaps have gotten buried and almost forgotten. They are natural intelligence, natural warmth, and natural openness. Everyone, everywhere, all over the globe, has these qualities and can call on them to help themselves and others."
(Month 5: July 8th - August 3rd)
In your fifth Module you'll create healthy boundaries & learn how to fall, fail, & make mistakes with love & compassion...
Creating Healthy Boundaries that Support You
Explore when and why you overstep your boundaries and learn how to commit to and take care of yourself by being true to healthy boundaries that support and honor your self care
Falling Down, Failure & Fear Held in Love
Learn how to reframe “failure” After all if you don’t make mistakes, how can you ever learn? Often your failures are your greatest opportunities for transformation. Learn how to both forgive yourself for and grow stronger from the times you fall down.
Take some time to process all the phenomenal work you've done. Slow down. Breathe. Be.
This week you'll also have the opportuinity to do some intensive coaching with me to help you with any hurdles or challenges that came up for you, support you in your self care journey, and celebrate your a-ha and breakthrough moments!
Social scientist Brené Brown ignited a global conversation on courage, vulnerability, shame, and worthiness. Her pioneering work uncovered a profound truth: Vulnerability—the willingness to show up and be seen with no guarantee of outcome—is the only path to more love, belonging, creativity, and joy. But living a brave life is not always easy: We are, inevitably, going to stumble and fall.It is the rise from falling that Brown takes as her subject in Rising Strong. Walking into our stories of hurt can feel dangerous. But the process of regaining our footing in the midst of struggle is where our courage is tested and our values are forged
(Month 6: August 5th - August 31st)
In your sixth and final Module you'll RAWR!
RAWR: Recognize, Allow, Witness, Release & Reframe...
Recognize the Stories You Carry
In order for change to happen we first need to recognize the ways we (often unconsciously) hold ourselves back. This week you’ll bring awareness to, shine the light on, & practice recognizing the stories you carry and the ways in which they limit your ability to fly.
This is how you begin to build your runway for takeoff!
Release the Old Narrative
Once you recognize your limiting narrative you can begin to release it, making room for a new narrative to live your life from.
Prepare for takeoff!
Reframe Your Life
This is when you begin to find, strap on and own your wings so you can fly. Discover, create and embody the story that supports you and shine your light into the world...
Now that you've committed 6 months to your self care, to reclaiming your truth, shining your light, and living from your heart, it's time to bring all of that radiant love & power out into the world!
What social, environmental, community, local or worldwide issues are you passionate about?
How much of your time can you give while maintaining a healthy balance between giving to others and taking care of yourself?
And what type of activism resonates in your core? Volunteering on a personal basis? Writing letters? Finding a group? Or even starting a group?
How can you be the change you want to see in the world?
As angel Kyodo williams (a writer, activist, Zen priest, & the author of Being Black: Zen, says)
"Without inner change there can be no outer change. Without collective change, no change matters."
And I want you to be a part of it!
